Virginia Johnson Arrives at Elevator

Posted on May 23, 2015 by Niko Downie

Full-blown summer is around the corner, and with the mercury rising it's time to bring some colour back into your wardrobe. New at Elevator for Summer 2015 is the queen of prints and bold colours, Toronto local Virginia Johnson. Vibrant, eye-catching prints adorn these beautiful shawls and scarves. Inspired by childhood summers on Lake Ontario, Virginia Johnson uses playful patterns featuring camels, cactus and bold florals to rouse your imagination and celebrate warmer months.
We've always loved throwing on a colourful, lightweight wrap in the spring and summer months - it's an easy way to add a dash of European flair to any outfit. These shawls are the perfect layering piece to add a splash of colour to your casual weekend jeans and tee, or wrap it around your shoulders as a beach cover-up or to keep warm on a cool summer evening.
Each shawl's design was hand painted by Virginia Johnson with watercolours, and then hand printed in India. Made from a versatile linen blend, and coming in at a generous 28x72 inches, you'll fall in love with these shawls just like we did.
